Church Shooting at Sutherland Springs, Texas
(Our prayers today are lifted to the God of All Comfort for family, friends, and loved ones whose souls are so saddened.)

And may we halt future such atrocities through our God-given blood-bought authority to do so.

“I could write a book,” is an old saying, but in fact I have written one.
A mini-book entitled The Authority of the Believer and How To Use It.

It is soundly, scripturally based on what I learned from the Word of God at the feet of Kenneth E. Hagin and from the book The Authority of the Believer by John A. MacMillan.

Every born-again believer sitting in that church in Sutherland Springs had the authority to bind the “powers of the air” that operated in their realms of habitational authority. Over their homes. Over their church. But they probably didn’t know it.

For it is written:

1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome *them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

*the evil spirits spoken of in the first verse of chapter 4.

The City of Tulsa, however, is a different matter. Just this past week I heard from two sources that Tulsa is nationally rated as one of the most dangerous cities to live in based on crime per capita.

My brethren, these things ought not to be.

It was in Tulsa that I first learned of The Authority of the Believer. As editor of publications at Kenneth Hagin Ministries, I kept track of book sales. His book, The Believer’s Authority, outsold every other book by a large margin.

I traveled into Soviet Russia with Jim and Kathy Kaseman during the Cold War. Jim had been given specific instructions from the Lord to get this book in huge numbers behind the Iron Curtain. The Kaseman’s got the job done. And I was privileged to help them. I am witness to Russian and East German believers taking their authority and the Iron Curtain coming down.

I am not surprised at Satan’s end-of-days wrathful tactics to blemish the name of the city of Oral Roberts, Kenneth E. Hagin, T. L. Osbourne, Jeanne Wilkerson—the city that was the site of great meetings led by Smith Wigglesworth, Raymond T. Richie, Aimee McPherson, and countless others. I am not surprised at his efforts to try to “possess” territory previously and famously in the camp of the Lord.

I was born in Tulsa, so I have certain rights to comment on this tragedy.

I remember when I worked for Brother Hagin, someone told him that a coven of witches was moving to Tulsa to attack his ministry. His comment, “Bring them on. Let them try.”

You see, he knew that the Greater One lived in him, and he only needed to put Him to work. Kenneth E. Hagin used The Authority of the Believer.

I know that many, many believers in the Tulsa area know their authority. But it’s not in the “knowing” it’s in the “doing.” (James 1:22.)

I so appreciate “Page 27” of John A. MacMillan’s book on just how to do it. Every day. Every morning. I wrote in my little mini-book borrowing heavily from MacMillan’s book (we own the rights) just how to do it.

This morning, I am praying about coming to the Tulsa area and having an Authority of the Believer Conference. Will probably have it in our church in Collinsville, A Glorious Church Fellowship.

My question to you. Did you sit in your seat of Authority Sunday morning before you went to church? If you do, you will never have a Satanically-driven person shoot up your church. Or school. Etc.

Everyone today is trying to figure out what can be done to stop such. Debates rage over gun-control laws.

But an outstanding old tract Honor the Blood which we include in every piece of outgoing mail says: The frantic efforts of men to stop it (Satan’s onslaught) are more often feeble than effective…Soulish ingenuity is no match for Satan’s…approach. The strongest efforts of resistance will crumble under the force of hell’s fury when met by any other than God’s way.

One cannot overcome spiritual problems with natural means.

God’s way, however, the exercised authority of the believer based upon the overcoming blood of the lamb, never fails when the believer reigns in life through Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:17.) We are to overcome. There is never the slightest hint that we are to be overcome. We have the God-given ability to overcome the enemy. But we have to do it!!!!!!!
